Fegely Graphics 2
To kill two birds with one stone, I used this project as an opportunity to make my wife a Valentine's Day card. I started in Adobe Illustrator. There, I performed image traces on each of the pictures of my wife and I below in order to make them more cartoon-like. From there, I added the dogs to the Halloween picture, and switched their spots. I exported these files into Adobe Photoshop. In Photoshop, I performed finishing touches to the image of my wife, and the image of myself. Finishing touches including using the pen tool to draw fine details, like her smile. The pen tool was also used to create the white shapes that fill in our bodies. After those additions were complete, I downloaded an image of Love Park in Philadelphia. I thought this image would be fitting for the Valentine's Day theme. I copied this image. In one version of it (the top version), I muted all the colors and cut out the "LOVE" statue. On the bottom iteration, I pulled out the red of the statue and made it more vivid. Over these layers I added a pink rectangle and reduced its opacity so that the background scene showed through in order to not take away from the foreground. Next, I added the pizza, bacon, text, and signature elements. Finally, I overlayed the frame element. Each of the six image elements (excluding shapes and pen tool elements) used in this graphical compilation are displayed in the slideshow gallery below for your reference.
