Fegely Web 2.0 Tool
I created this interactive Web 2.0 WebQuest using ThingLink. ThingLink allows users to embed interactive hotspots on images or videos. These hotspots can play multimedia content or link to webpages for further exploration. I used this project as an opportunity to create an artifact that demonstrates how my preservice teachers can reinvent the traditional WebQuest for social studies. This ThingLink includes a map of the state of California with many interactive hotspots that link to or show web pages, videos, and other multimedia content. The actual WebQuest worksheet is a Google Doc that I created and linked in the white space under the sun. Students would download that worksheet to their Google Drive and fill in the answers as they browse through the links, reading and watching informational content on the state of California. ThingLink is a creative tool for sharing multimedia and other information in education.
